Plastic Cover

My no. 1 pet peeve is to see people driving around with plastic covers still on their head rest.... What are they trying to prove? scared ppl dunno they driving new car?? c'mon man, some of the cars I see, they are already more than 1 year old!!! and the plastic cover is still on... WTF?! they have headlice? scared dirty the chair? never understand these people...
The whole idea of getting a new car is to enjoy it... is the plastic really more comfortable??

So people will say that I am sour grapes lah... But let me tell u, I took out the plastic cover on the 1st day I took my new car ok....

It just doesnt makes sense... its as good as
1) buying an LV bag... but still having the plastic cover on??
2) bought a new comfortable sofa where the 'Nua' factor > 9/10... and then use those cotton sheet cover to cover it... in order not to dirty it....
3) buying an expensive aircon set... but only turning it on once a month.. just to safe money... then dun install it in the 1st place lah!!!

Signaling

What is the purpose of signaling?
1) Its to let other road users know your intention to switch lane or to turn.
2) Or to let the TP know that you are following the law, so that he will not book u.

Signaling is the basic thing to do... but why aint people following it? is it because
1) they need to concentrate on the roads that they must maintain both hands on the wheels?
2) they need to save electricity (therefore saving fuel) by not signaling?
3) or they are simple ignorant??
I hope that most belongs to the 3rd category... so anyway here is the education.

Those who know me will surely K me that I am the one who did not signal most of the times… But then, there are times that you DO really need to and signal, and sometimes you DON’T have to.

When DO you need to signal?
1) when you are turning into a carpark. Why?
- To let the car behind you know so that they can switch to another lane if they wanna go straight
- To let the car coming out of the carpark know so that they can turn out the other way
2) when u are at a lane which can go straight and turn right/left and u wanna turn. Why?
- to let the car behind know so that they would not stay behind you if they wanna go straight.

When DON’T you need to signal?
1) when you are at a Turn-Right Only lane and you want to turn right. DUH. If you do not want to turn right, what are u doing in this lane?!
2) when you are cruising on the highway and you need to switch lane and the car you wanted to cut you is 3 car length away and make sure it is not a WRX or any car faster than you. But then if you think that it’s a WRX, it might not be one. In Singapore, there are > 100 ‘TS Inside’ WRXes…. I myself know 2 of the owner…
3) when there is a jam, and you need to cut lane… because, if you signal, NO ONE is going to give way to you!!!

Of Road-Hoggers & Tail-Gaters

ok, I will admit it, i am tail-gater... but why? why do I want to tailgate? very simple. because people roadhogs. If they don't roadhog, i would not tailgate. But then, the the roadhoggers will say the opposite. 'Normally I don't roadhog. its only when I meet people who tailgate, like you, only will I roadhog.', said some of my roadhoggers friends. well well well... so is this going to be another chicken & egg story? who cums 1st??? oops.. i mean which comes 1st?

Ok, lets give you 1 very good example about someone I know.
1) I was in this car as the co-driver. the driver (a roadhogger according to my opinion) is travelling at 100km/h (already considered very fast by some people). There is a car travelling much faster from behind, and in no time, it is about 2 car lengths behind. So, I tell the driver that he is roadhogging and should move to the side. but then, his reply is, 'the car is actually maintaining at the same speed, so there is no need to move aside.' well, if you insist...
but he didnt notice that when he speed up to 110 or 120, the car seems to be able to maintain at the same speed... maybe he really likes staying behind someone... like in cycling. 'wind-cutting' they call it?? i dunno...
anyway, after sometime, when I am taking the wheels, there is a road hogger who likes to enjoy the scenary in the extreme right lane, so what did I do? DUH! tailgate lah! so what did my roadhogger friend said? 'Don't tailgate, its very irritating...'.
ok, i agree its irritating, but back to my philosophy, if you don't roadhog.....

question is WHY DO I HAVE TO TAILGATE!?
well, if I were to leave a gap, the car in front will 'thought' that I am maintaining the same speed... so wat can i do to let the driver in front knows that I want to overtake him?? to me, tail gate seems to be the only option.
why don't you highbeam? you migt ask... well, i have encountered the following cases when I highbeam(just a flick) the road hoggers in front.
1) no response. somehow it seems like they need to concentrate on the road that they can't take their eyes for the rear mirror.
2) they slowed down... why?? because they are not happy that they are being flashed at
3) continue from 1 or 2, when u manage to find some 'holes' on the left lane, and manage to cut back to the right lane in front of them, they pharking HIGHBEAM YOU!!!! WTF?!?!
4) they move to the left for you to overtake.
luckily more than 50% belongs to category 4...

So what do I have to do? keep too far behind, they thought you do not have intention to overtake, keep to near, you are being irritating, highbeam them, and you are being rude.
Can anyone care to educate this stoopid brain of mine???

Let me tell just say a few facts.
1) the extreme right lane is meant for overtaking. so even if you are travelling at 160km/h (way above the speed limit), and there is someone behind you travelling even faster at 180 or 200, you siao siao have to move to the left to let them past.
2) it doesn't matter that you are travelling at 90km/h and the speed limit is 90km/h you have the right to stay in that lane...
3) why do you care that you are at the speed limit, and the people behind will be speeding if you let them past? let them get caught by the TP!!!

but then, for those people who tailgates on the middle lane, then its different, they are just being a PAIN in the ASS!!!
